Revs push back into play-off picture with 2-0 win over Dallas
FOXBORO, MA. With just two games left in the season the Revs (7-12-9) are on the outside looking into te playoff picture, but their destiny is now in their own hands. Their win against Dallas combined with a Chicago Fire tie puts the Revolution just three points back of Chicago with 2 games remaining, one against the Fire. New England and Dallas (10-13-5) both entered the match at the bottom of the East and West Conferences, respectively, with the Revs trying to qualify for their third straight playoffs and the Burn trying to avoid missing the playoffs for the second straight year.

D.C. United top MetroStars 1-0
The MetroStars once again fell to D.C United after a hard fought match. D.C. won from a Freddy Adu goal that deflected off of Jeff Parke. The lone goal came early in the first half, and the Metros were unable to come back. Magee went off early with a concussion, and was unable to come back. Magee's absence may have affected the Metros overall play, but either way the Metros failed to clinch a 2nd place spot in the eastern division.

United Gets Fiesty Win Over MetroStars
The Chicago Fire were supposed to miss last year's playoffs. They made the MLS Cup Final. The Columbus Crew were lost at the beginning of the year. They have not lost in 15 straight matches. DC United were missing their captain, top two scorers and had only won a single game on the road this season going into Saturday night. They won. Can anyone figure out Major League Soccer?

Revolution suffer major blow to play-off hopes
Chicago, Ills. Just 7 days after beating the first place Colorado Rapids 6 to 1, the last place New England Revolution were unable to overcome the 9th place Chicago Fire, suffering a 2-0 loss. The loss puts the Revs 5 points behind the Fire for the fourth and final playoff spot with just three games remaining. Despite creating some great chances and controlling the majority of the possession in the second half, the Revs were unable to put anything past Fire goalkeeper Henry Ring.

Metros clinch playoffs with 2-0 win
The MetroStars clinched the playoffs yet again, with an impressive 2-0 win versus Dallas Burn. The MetroStars started the game with a John Wolyniec goal coming in the 30th minute, and ended the game in style with a late minute break away goal from Cornell Glen. Columbus and the MetroStars are the only teams to have clinched a playoff spot this year in the east. The Metros are now 6 points away from DC in the standings, and as it looks New England won't make the playoffs. Although its too early to tell about the Revolution, the Metros will be in the playoffs this year.
