Metros fail to put out the Fire
Once again the MetroStars couldn't stop the Chicago Fire as they come up with nothing but a tie. Four games without a win for the Metros, and a 1-1 tie against the Fire. Even though the MetroStars dominated in the first half, one goal by Fabian Taylor wouldn't be able to win it, as Ante Razov had an answer in the second half.

The game started early with a goal in the 13th minute, with a nice pass from Amado Guevera to Taylor. Taylor took a 360 turn and shot low to the far corner beating Chicago's keeper Henry Ring.

Minutes later Cornell Glen took a rocket from far outside the box. Henry Ring was able to get a hand to it, and knock it over with the slight touch.

Off a nice cross from the a Chicago corner kick, CJ Brown got his head on a great ball, but put it too close to Jonny Walker, who made a sliding save off the corner.

In the 40th minute Ante Razov found himself open on the right side of the field, although Razov's lethal left foot can be deadly, he can be just as good with his right. Razov took a low shot into the far corner, Walker came up with a big time save.

Early in the 2nd half Razov's next try would be the one that found net. A great pass from Andy Williams left DaMarcus Beasley out on the side of the field streaking toward the goal line. Beasley sent a cross into the box which found the Razov, who tapped the ball in and headed to celebrate.

Just minutes later the Metros almost tied it up. A great swinger from Joselito Vaca found the head of Mark Lisi, but was unable to finish after putting the attempt wide.

The second half got wild as 6 yellow cards were shared between the two teams. The game heated, including a fight that gave Lisi and Chris Armas yellow cards. Most of the second half had no flow, as attacks and counters ticked away the time.

Metro fans may of had something to cheer at, after a great play from Eddie Gaven gave the MetroStars control for the last few minutes. A corner kick found Ricardo Clark, who ripped off a shot but got deflected. Seconds after, a great cross from the right side found Amado Guevara open in the box. Guevara ripped off a shot on the volley with his left foot but was unable to beat Ring.

MET -- Fabian Taylor 4 (Amado Guevara 2, Eddie Gaven 4) 13
CHI -- Ante Razov 2 (DaMarcus Beasley 2, Andy Williams 2) 51
