Revs deadlock Crew at two
FOXBORO, MA. – The New England Revolution (4-8-7) came from behind twice to tie the Columbus Crew (6-5-7) on August 7th. With the draw, the Revs move into a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot in the East with the Chicago Fire. Despite leading in almost every offensive statistic, including a fifteen to eight advantage in shots and an eight to four advantage in shots on goal, the Revs trailed twice and could never find an advantage in the one statistic that matters, goals. The tie extends the Crew’s unbeaten streak to 6 games and the Revs’ unbeaten streak to 5 games. |

Great Legends
So July 31st RFK Stadium 2pm est., it was all set for the 2004 MLS All-Star game. It was a good game, not too shabby! Although the All-Stars im talking about you wouldn't find in that game. No, they played earlier in the Celebration game. It was amazing to see what the old timers could do. Wynalda still had it in him, not to mention the wonderful work of those Salvadoreans: Raul Diaz-Arce and the little big talent of Mauricio Cienfuegos. Not to leave behind Hugo Perez who also scored in this wonderful event. The Celebration game was a wonderful sight to see, guys from Tab Ramos to the Columbian, Carlos "El Pibe" Valderama played once again against one another. They all had a great game and not to forget Jorge Campos who did some stellar saves and an assist. |
