Preview: Colorado Rapids at Dallas Burn

SAN ANTONIO, TX. - (April 2nd, 2004) The Colorado Rapids and the Dallas Burn face off in an opening day battle at the Cotton Bowl.  The Rapids finished last year 3rd in the standings and come into the 2004 season looking for their first trophy in club history.  The Dallas Burn were the worst team in the league last year and are now hungry to settle old scores from 2003.

3/30/04-Two More Players With less than four days left until the Colorado Rapids play their first game of the season, the club added two more players to their roster.  Strikers Jean-Phillipe Peguero and David Castellanos are officially part of the Rapids 2004 squad.
3/28/04-DRAW! The Colorado Rapids tied the MetroStars in their final preseason match of the year last night.  The final score was 2-2 in front of a crowd of 4,204 fans at the Virgil T. Blossom Athletic Center.
3/24/04-A Brief Rapids Update The last several days have been busy for the Rapids.  Latest news has included three new signings and a few odds and ends.  Colorado continues to prepare as the 2004 MLS season draws closer.
3/22/04-Colorado Signs Antonio de la Torre The Colorado Rapids officially announced the signing of Mexican defender Antonio de la Torre today.  The veteran becomes the only Mexican player currently in the MLS.  He will  wear the number 23 for the Rapids.
